your experienced and discreet professional organizer,
space planner and organizing coach service
in the pacific northwest
Is your cluttered space nagging you? Is the clutter causing stress in your relationship? Are you embarrassed to invite people over? Is your paperwork piling up? Is your productivity down because you can’t find things? Do you have undesirable financial consequences because your files are disorganized or non-existent? Do you keep buying new things because you can’t find the old ones? Haven’t seen the top of your dining room table in years?
If you desire to restore order to your home, office, or business, if you’re ready to implement a new organization system for the first time, or if you’ve become aware of the negative effects of clutter on your stress level and productivity and need help getting the overflow under control, you can count on me to be fast, efficient, and sensitive to your situation. I tailor my services to your needs and personality, because I believe a custom solution works better than a one-size-fits-all approach.
I can work either independently or right along with you, and I’ll work with what you’ve got — not sell you on expensive storage solutions. (I keep inexpensive and effective bins and shelves on hand to expedite the organization process and keep your costs low.) My work requires flexibility and the ability to help my clients achieve their goals, get on with their lives, or get their finances under control, which is why I love what I do.back to top
I’m Ines Kemper, a worldly, German-born woman with diverse interests and experiences, and I have background in both business administration and facilities management. I’m reliable and forthcoming, and I communicate, commit, and follow through. I’m physically active and strong — lots of sports and yoga — so I can haul those boxes and climb those stairs. I live in a smoke-free and fragrance-free environment to accommodate my clients’ health needs, and I love animals...but I’d really prefer not to work in smoky places. And I’m a resourceful problem solver, knowing where to find the best deals for just about anything you’d ever need to purchase.back to top
I declutter anything or anywhere that is overflowing or disorganized: home, office, garage, file cabinet, tax paperwork, computer files, business, closet, pantry, kitchen, bath, even your car or purse.
I can bring your paperwork up to date and set up systems to pay your bills, manage your projects, or help you get your taxes filed.
I can even help you repair or install things. If you need help with remodeling and turning your home or office into a better functioning space, call me. I’ve designed and installed Ikea kitchens and storage solutions. Why pay thousands to those expensive custom closet companies when more affordable alternatives are available right here in Portland? (But if you would like a custom storage solution, I’ll help you choose and install one that truly meets your needs.)
In short, I can do just about anything that overwhelms you...and I’m even a Notary Public! There’s probably nothing I haven’t done before, but I still embrace every situation as a new adventure. And think of the time and money it will save you to be organized!
Some clients need me for only a few hours, and others keep finding new things for me to do. All clients notice a huge impact after just three or four hours. Take a look at these before-and-after photos of a bedroom after three hours of work:
I work quickly and efficiently, eliminating distractions so you know you’re getting your money’s worth. After I’ve worked with you for the first time, I’ll help you implement a clear and simple maintenance system that fits into your lifestyle and space. But if your life is too busy to keep up with a system or learn new habits, we can devise a periodic-upkeep program in which I’ll return at an agreed-upon frequency to keep things spruce. There’s no shame in this...sometimes life gets in the way of good intentions.
Also, I understand challenges such as Attention Deficit Disorder, ADHD, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), hoarding and other issues that can prevent you from getting organized, and I’ll work within your particular needs and limitations. There’s no reason to be nervous or embarrassed — again, I realize that people have individual priorities and talents and that everyone needs an individually-tailored solution.back to top

I’m proud of my low rate ($60 per hour), and I encourage you to compare it to that of other experienced professional organizers. I keep my rate low because I want to be accessible to anyone who could benefit from my services. (If you’re low-income, please contact me to discuss a sliding scale.)
If you’re still not sure whether hiring a professional organizer is for you and you’d like more information, or if you’d simply like to get acquainted before entrusting me with your stuff, I provide complimentary consultations within the Metro area. Call or email me, and I’ll tell you more about how I might help you. A consultation takes approximately half an hour, and I’ve found that people make decisions best when they’ve got someone to brainstorm with.
I’ve been doing professional organizing since 2004 for hundreds of satisfied clients, and I can provide references at your request. So if it’s time to turn chaos into order, contact me at 503-888-4411, info@NWClutter.com, or via the form below.
